SL542 EQ
« on: April 20, 2017, 06:37:37 AM »
Hey guys!

I have a pair of these EQs with a bad PSU and a resistor blown on the board.  I'm in search of a schematic - can anyone help me out?

Much appreciated.
Thanks!
Sig

Hi Sig,

great to have another one here interested in SSL stuff.

I attached the schematics.
Good luck.

OK, so the postive rail of my PSU was blown - I replaced it and the eqs are now fully working, seemingly.

However, R14 was burnt up when I got these, so I thought I'd replace it on both modules with the value on the schematic - 510 ohms.  It's getting really hot again, and it smells like it'll slowly burn out again.  Would anyone know what R14 is doing in this circuit and why this is happening?  I only used a 1/4 watt resistor, but that's what it looked like it was in the original board.

Thanks!
Sig
