The Desk Doctor?
« on: November 28, 2017, 11:03:02 PM »
Has anybody had any recent contact with Bruce at the Desk Doctor? He's been sitting on some of my SSL cards from my 6K's cage, and he's not returning any of my phone calls or emails? Any input would be appreciated.

He's busy on the new console. He once took 3 months to reply to my email.

Use Keith at Recycled or George Gilbert he does work for AES Pro Audio.

You have Phil Nicolay in Seattle. Ross Alexander in Miami. Ross did TLA's move to Spank phone 786-385-5754

He's had my cards for almost 7 months now, and at this point I'm just trying to get my cards back. He's got two of my processors and a couple of cards. Its been very frustrating, and beyond unprofessional dealing with Bruce at this stage of the game. I'm concerned at this point if he still has my gear.

If you could message me with email or phone numbers for the guys you listed that would be appreciated, Assuming I can get my cards back from Bruce.

Search tech. We made a list from around the world on here somewhere.

Try to get someone in LA to go in person......big ask put that's what it might take.

I think Bruce has a guy who goes around and does the repairs for people like CLA.

Think his name in Fabio he works for Bruce.

Someone will chime in.

I don't know Ross, but I worked with Keith, George and Phil at SSL in the old days and would strongly recommend any of them.

I vividly remember Phil, Bruce and I working together in a VERY small room in Stonesfield in 1984 - let's just say Bruce could get a bit loud...but he has been working with 4k/6k for a very long time.

Good luck, hope you get your cards fixed one way or the other!!!

I too have been waiting for cards for a few months with no reply.  I wish I'd sent them elsewhere, but for now I'm meterless.
