Channel Routing Card Removal From 611 Motherboard
« on: December 18, 2017, 10:07:30 PM »
I've read the post on cleaning the channel routing cards here: http://forum.sslmixed.com/index.php/topic,458.0.html

I was under the assumption they were attached only by the single screw that connects each card of four switches to the 611 motherboard, but it seems the pins on our console are soldered to the motherboard.

Am I missing something?

Hi Matt,

Upload a photo, please. I think it is very strange to be soldered.

Regards.

So, it turns out they were just really tightly attached to the pins in the motherboard. Initially when I was pulling up on the pcb, the motherboard was flexing, and the solder pots for the pins were an optical illusion for my bad eyes.

Yes I was. They were in very, very snug. When I pulled up on them the 611 motherboard would flex. I was being overly careful... ;D
