Post fader metering and bus comp question
« on: January 20, 2018, 06:58:25 AM »
Hey guys quick question anyone utilizing post fader metering? This way your seeing the output after eq and fader riding on individual channels?

I can’t seem to do it on my g+ Se
I can do it when not using small fader Ie: using the ready group and direct buttons but once I’m using small fader for parelell compression it removes it from the bus. So I’m stuck. I kind of remember on the old e this didn’t happen. But it was so long ago I don’t remember.
Faders into meters just place fader position??

Question 2

Anyway to patch the quad comp into say channel 5 and 6 but leave the master fader post 2 bus insert and functional??

Thanks guys in advance.

I’m guessing this means you can’t use Post fader metering on channels 1-32 if you want to use the routing matrix for those groups.

No you cant, but i.e when mixing, I have fx returns on both LF SF at ch 1-6 and dont really need to see that so matrix 1-6 is available for me for fx sends

Hi

I created a buffered post fader meter mod on an E series here in Copenhagen a year ago. But it took a lot of effort with adding an opamp and a couple of passives and rerouting some signals on the group amp card on every channel based on some of the G series channel into meters design. Worked beautifully.

Cheers,
