SYNC REPRO Switch
« on: August 07, 2021, 12:08:38 PM »
I've managed to connect my MM1200 for track arming from the SSL
but I would also like to get to SYNC/REPRO switching to work.

The S29E pinout document says "refer to SSL instructions provided for the machine"
regarding where  DL42 sync/replay  contact P8 and N8 goes to the J1 connector at MM1200.

Any have any information which 2 pins to connect on the MM1200 J1 connector?

Is this any help for you?

The manual I have, has specific setup wiring for a Studer A800, but not anything else.
Do you have schematics for the MM1200?

Thanks for this,
but I'm not sure it would help me.

I've tried to look at the MM1200 schematics but
old logic circuits are not my strong side.

On the added remote schematics its a pinout called M(MASTER SYNC/REPRO)
that maybe could be used but not sure.

I will check the ampex page and see if any has a paper for SSL/MM1200

You can remote the transport box by buying a cable for it. Might be easier than trying to wire it in to the SSL.

Nah, It's  wired to the SSL thru a Timeline LYNX II and that to the Motionworker that is working together with the SSL transport
with all the that great features like the locates, loop functions, auto punch I/O etc
and perfectly in sync with my Protools system.
And record enable thru SSL's track arms buttons
it's just the possibility to switch between SYNC and REPRO from the SSL i miss
but it's no biggie.
