Hello, My name is Norman Druce I have worked on 4,6 and 8K's, rebuilt many of their power supplies
and have wired a few ssl room's. I have also worked on the 9K's a bit and have partially commissioned
one, I am based in the Detroit area but I also travel. I am currently developing a more efficient switch
mode power supply for the 4 and 6k's. COOL NEW FORUM! normandruce.com

Very curious about the PSU development, Will a switch mode supply cut consumption down?

I've heard they've been a little problematic with the 9K..

Stef.

Update on Norman Druce's PSU project

He is now making power supplies for 4K, 6K, 8K, 9K and Neve VR consoles under the brand name Atomic Instrument Co.

They are in service w/ a number of prominent & very satisfied customers and his prices are reasonable. I have no relationship to the company, I'm just a 4K tech who is saving up my pennies to get one of these!
