Request for Help - CUTs Automation (Non-Ultimation Systems) (CLOSED)

(1/3) > >>

Artur D'Assumpção:
Hi guys,

We need your help in clarifying a doubt that came up in our meeting today:

To be able to automate CUTS on a non-ultimation system does one need to have any cables connected to the "CUTS" IDC connectors right next to each FADER connector on the SL691 Computer? Or are these signals are already on the FADER IDC cables?

If yes, where are this connectors located on the console? Can someone share a photo of the panel under the console?

If no, what does the CUTS connectors on the SL691 computer serve for?

Thanks for you help!

Cheers,

Artur

CORRECTION!!

NO, there is no "CUTS"-ribbon cable going between console and computer!! Sorry for the confusion!!

sintech:
Not in my case, the cuts are all done via the 50 way connector, one for each bucket

Standard G 4100/A with TR

Guess my 11u rack is E series

sintech:
The cut really is a voltage greater than 7.5v on a VCA system

Ov fader top

5v fader bottom

7.5 and above, is a cut, as you can cascade cut voltage via the VCA groups, making the cut light illuminate without a button press.
