Tips on dust cleaning the console
« on: September 11, 2014, 12:25:55 PM »
Hi guys,

Any tips on dust cleaning the console surface (channel strips, faders, center section, etc.)? What tools do you use, how frequently do you do it, etc?

I've been using a dust "brush" that's "electrically charged" to attract dust, but I feel that's not the ideal, specially for the channel strips since the microfibers tend to get stuck on the knobs shaft.

Would like to know more about your methods!

Cheers,

Artur

I have always used a big paint brush with natural fibres!
frequency: as often as needed! :D

In my experience, a brush is ok to use but have a vacuum cleaner nozzle nearby at the same time to collect the dust otherwise you are just moving it elsewhere and it may go into the small and large fader slots!
