I’m loving my console running the computer.. however the small keyboard is just too annoying! So scored a G series one, that’s been reduced to spares., and completely de-wired.

First run, checking all the functionality :-)

Pretty please how this turned out, having adapted the input to the VCA card to accept all eight groups over one cable (E series uses 2 with identical pinouts)

Many thanks to Backtrack, for mapping the connections from his :)

Planning to rebuild the console larger, so new beams built this week from 80x40 box section I got from Jim (thanks dude)

Thing is with metalwork.. it’s always takes longer than you think :-)

Finished beams ready for bolt up :-)))

Does anybody have a part number for the black audio biccs that connect to the bucket back plane or "mother board"?
Thanks! N

Norman,

I believe you'll find the BICC's in the Souriau SMS Quick Mating range; a sample:

6 way Bicc motherboard connectors
« Reply #88 on: March 07, 2018, 01:15:47 AM »
Hi there. Not sure where you live but these are ITT (Bicc) Trident connectors and I have just looked them up on Farnell (Newark? in the USA).

SSL used 6-24 way versions of these plus the round ones (4-36 way?) for the power leads.

Here are the details for the 6 way free socket Bicc connector as used on the upper busscard connections. The picture actually shows a 12 way version so don't be put off by that.
The prices shown are in GB£ by the way. 70p now when they cost about 16p in the late 1980's!
