Random parts questiond
« on: August 29, 2021, 03:46:48 AM »
Heya all!

Quick and brief one here.

I’m helping clean out a friends shop who has a ton of parts.
Disks, drives, computer pieces, buckets and frames.. etc
Are these pieces something I should help sell or scrap?
He also does have about 40 spare channels, in various states of functionality.
That’ll be for a later post.
More curious about the computer bits and pieces as well as the frame pieces.

I've literally been spending EVERY awakened minute trying to find a frame for my console.... I have a 32 channel 4000E (1987) with NO frame. I pm'ed you. Please help! :-) I'll drive anywhere in North America to get a frame for this beast. :-)

I would certainly be interested in the spare channels.

Thanks,

Mike

He says they're 611v (6000 channels).

They can be made to work, I'm just not sure exactly if through mods or if you simply lose the "front - back" panning and the "stereo-A bus" has the same routing as your "LF - RF" busses.

Yep, A buss is LF, RF, B buss LB, RB.
No modifications were needed.

My console is a 4000E, but has 22x SL611V modules in it now, and 26x SL611E

Anthony.

That's good news!

I've had to make 611Ge's from an 8K work in a 4K and it took a bit of work to undo the "8K" mods to get it working as a true 4K 611.

I might be interested in the master section computer keyboard assembly, if it's a G computer. Thanks.

Heya all.

Sorry. Been away

I think I do have a keyboard assembly. Maybe even two.
Buckets I think are claimed and spoken for. Waiting on a reply.
