4K G Setting the clock
« on: August 21, 2013, 05:23:39 PM »
I've just been trying to set the clock on our 4K G computer, and it won't let me enter a date after 31st Dec 2011, although it will happily click over to 1st Jan 2012 when it reaches midnight.
Is this a known problem??
Kevin.

I have problems even getting the clock to set at all! I follow the directions in the book and it never takes.

I would really love it if someone would write a brief note on how they do it. What stupid mistake am I making.

Thanks,
Alan

Alan, you have to put in a date first before the time, and because of the problem the year has to be 2011 or earlier to be accepted as valid.
So if you type in, say, 11:08:22 for the date, you can then enter the time as 10:27 (as it is as I type....).

the weird thing is that it actually does run into 2013 if you set it before 2011. my date was off by a few weeks after coming back from a longer trip though, so now i set it to 1983..
