Yes. I know. I'm behind on that. We're working on some tutorial videos for our web site. We HAVE to publish them before NAMM. I have very limited access to the only studio in town with a system.

Though. There's a system up and running in Brooklyn. They made some statements. No videos though.

Yes and no. I was there, no booth. Spreading flyers. Tried to find distribution/dealer.

It was nice. Met a lot of people. Some are excited, others almost find it provocative to blow life in old stuff.

Well well. I've done some tests with audio faders lately and will install an all motor / audio fader system on a local API in April.

It's a benefit for everyone because it shares 90% with the SSL systems.

Finally got some access to my old SSL room to fine tune the Recall.
It works like a charm.
Just need to add some polished graphics.

I do not dare to say.
I'm still working on the v2.0 of the software, which is ported to a more flexible solution. As you see on this video the gui is completely browser based.
It takes time and thus - money.
Money is an object so I had to return to producing/mixing records. Unfortunately :-)

I'm also looking over some of the hardware to cut some manufacturing costs. It includes direct purchase of components and parts.
We'll see if the world still turns when I'm done :-)

I'll post some vids next week. Proof of me still in labour.

Finally some hours spent in the workshop.
Tested some new features today.
The main core running on OS X. It's merely a hub for connecting stuff to the CV96.

HUI can be routed direct or mixed with our own automation software.

Everything can be accessed thru browser. So no extra keyboard needed. Very handy for recall if you use an iPad.

As soon as I get to a console I'll demo the recall screens. They're very straight forward. A thick yellow outline/blob for every misaligned knob/switch. The layout displayed banks of 8 channels at the time. Very easy and fast to locate everything. You decide what to recall and how accurate it should align. The computer don't interfere in any way.

HUI link - very simple demo. Can be injected as direct control or as a VCA master.

Hi Pelle!

It's looking grate, congratulations! Lots of work you've been putting into this! ;) I am curious, have you overcome that problem with the HUI messages delay/priority?

You're using that to control the DAW, or use the DAW to automate the VCAs/groups?

Cheers,

Artur

Thanks Artur,

Well. I haven't really solved the HUI latency.
But, on the other hand my system doesn't rely upon it either.
Hard to explain. :-)

I've done it so its on a second layer kind of. You can route HUI in and out any way you choose. And from any track to any track.
So it can be used to control DAW, or / and be controlled from DAW. It can also be dumped and imported between both.
It's pretty cool actually. I'm gonna do a proper demo when I get access to my old SSL.

Very interesting! It looks very good! ;)

But how are you bridging with the DAW to avoid the HUI latency? Plugin approach instead?

Cheers,

Artur

I actually just avoiding by don't giving a f**k about it :-)

No but seriously. My own sync is spot on so if anybody want do be precise they should use the built in method.
The HUI linking is perfect for other things. 98% of the rides aren't critical down to frames anyway.

My favorite scenario is having  groups of faders connected as "delta in" to DAW HUI out channels. That way you can mix on the actual faders but do VCA group style rides from DAW. And that's 32 groups.
Drawing "S" dips are also sweet.
