As per title,
does anybody have one?

Hi Mattia,

Were you referring to the Analog and Digital PSU 9000 series schematic ?  or the individual Omega MML 600 Coutant Lambda PSU ?

Has anyone tried using the newer Lambda Vega PSU?

I know i have the service manual vol 1,2,3, but i don't think they have the Lambda PSU schematic.

Hi Didi,
I am referring to the SSL part of PSU, as far as I know there is a BIG filter at the bottom of the PSU tower which is used to cut off all the garbage from the switch mode power supplies. It would be interesting to have a peek at that!  :)

Hi Mattia,

Ah yes, that's the PSU filter bank, and unfortunately there is no schematic on it   :(

it's ok I am thinking how to get it...

My idea is to try and re-create the PSU they made for the 9K but use it on a 4K...
I guess it's something Norman Druce is working on, I hope he will post some updates soon!

Mattia, I've got the 9000J installation manual here. DC filter and smoothing unit - 9U, 200kg!!! Are you sure you want to build that!?

I guess it's just a big box of massive inductors and caps; LC filters. That's the only way to filter out the noise without putting too much capacitive loading on the SMPSUs

I did not remember it was so big, can you scan the manual at all?
Im going to have a section on the forum with just schematics.

I've only got the installation manual, it only gives the dimensions for the filter unit. I'm pretty sure there was no schematic in the K service manual. It's a box of mistery!

so here is some food for thought....
still regarding the switch mode power supply for the 4K...

http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=49813.0

how about implementing 3 of this per side and create a +-18V @30A and +11V @10A as power supply for the 4K? it would be REALLY cheap...the data sheet says switching frequency it's 200KHz (same as for the lambda psus) and the ripple it's 30mV at maximum current. an equivalent LAmbda one it's 100mV at 25A so summing the 3 boards needed it would still be 90mV per side...not bad...

any thoughts?
Im itchy...I'd like to build it and do some tests on the bench...

Maximum input voltage 50V....  >:( >:( >:(
screw it!

The filter is a box of misery! That's why our units replace it and the "stupidvisor"!
Even with the chokes there is 300,000uF per rail!
