Can anyone tell me if this metal will work for my DIY center section? It would be to make the 651 top panel aka.. for the pots, switches?

That's only 1.27mm thick, I would think it is too thin and would be difficult to work with without getting small kinks in it.

I found some thicker, I think they have 3/16th, 3/8 in. What would be a good thickness. Thanks walrus.

3/16th is about 4.7mm and maybe a bit too thick, making it hard to work with. 3/8th if *far* to thick! ;D
Best size is 1/8th if you can find it.
Kevin.

Ok, since I haven't found a 25 card yet, I got 9k balancing pcbs.
Andy, these look like they have jumpers on a few places and why was that done? I need to takes these out I'm a guessing. Do you no what the IC chips that go in here?
Also, I found some 1/8in 6061 T6 aluminum metal to start the 651 section. Will a 12"in X 24" piece of metal work to fab it up. Any suggestions would be great people.
Thanks all.
Myke

Yeah, they look like they may have been used for a different purpose. You want to remove the jumpers and stuff them as they were intended.

The IC package is expensive, but it has a complete cross coupled output stage in one IC :-)

Cool, Jim just posted some blank panel, couldn't I use the panels to make my 651 section?

This is one of the G series panels, supplied by Jim. Got some E series ones also, as at that point the colour scheme was unknown for my Centre build
