Most of the SSL 4K & 6K cards that CML Audio has designed are replacements that were necessary to make because the originals were missing or short-quantity from console re-sizing projects. The remaining cards are problem-solvers that we think are good-idea cards to make console tech work easier. All the PCBs are assembled in-house, including the surface-mount cards, which are done using our solder paste printer, pick-and-place machine, & solder reflow oven.

• 82E13 Channel VCA Card. CML type VQ1436. Based on THAT Corp 2181 VCA chips. Has additional trim facilities for a greater degree of accuracy of alignment and fader scaling.
• 82E05 Console Phase Meter Card. CML type IQ1419. Driver card for a Sifam centre-zero moving coil phase meter.
• 82E237 Meter distribution card. CML type IB1461. A cut-down version of the SSL card for LF, RF, LB, RB main output meters, phase meter, mono sum & drive.
• 82E37 8-way Channel Fader backplane for VCA faders. CML type SL82E37
• 82E38 VCA Master Fader Backplane in two versions: 4-fader for mini-consoles that have a 4-module wide master section, and an 8-fader direct replacement for the SSL card. CML typs are SL82E384 (4-fader) and SL82E388 (8-fader).
• 82E26 QB Mix Amp, Patch, Compress Side Chain card with 4 variants:
• MV1460A THAT Corp VCAs. Use in SSL 4K console.
• MV1460B DBX202 VCAs (client supplied). Use in SSL 4K console.
• MV1460C THAT Corp VCAs. No mix amp. Use in SSL 6K console.
• MV1460D DBX202 VCAs (client supplied) No mix amp. Use in SSL 6K.
During the development of this card, we have done extensive research into mix amp design and performance. MAT02 transistors originally used by SSL are now obsolete and no longer reliably available. Our technical research has led to the development of a mix amp that is as close as can be got to the original SSL design but using currently available parts.
• LED illumination card to replace the festoon lamps used for Sifam VU meters. CML type IS1418. The PCB has pointy-ends that lock into the festoon lamp holder. The end edges of the cards are gold plated for good contact. Can be fitted internally to VU meters that have a pair of lamps (or LEDs) at the bottom of the meter.

• LED phase meter in a Sifam bezel. CML type NI1451. 2-card assembly comprising of a LED display card and a driver card.
• Power distribution card. CML type PB1462. Suitable for console frames up to 40 channels, replacing the hand-wired power distribution arrangement that is part of the console connector panel. 2-pole circuit breakers (similar to those used on the Ultimation power distribution assembly) ensure that both the positive and negative audio supply rails to each bucket are disconnected simultaneously in the event of a fault. Each circuit breaker drives a relay that switches the phantom and logic rails, thereby automatically emulating the 4-pole bucket toggle switches. Circuit-breaker and out-going wiring looms are on connectors for ease of frame wiring/service.
• Blank metal panel, 160mm x 245mm, middle and upper blanks in the centre section (CML reference C650-010).
• Blank metal panel, VCA group 5-8 cut/solo panel to the right of the 651 (CML reference is C623-015).
