Title: 8000 mods to revert back to 4000

Hello!

I have a 8000 with the film mod that made LF left LB centre RF righ RB surround.

We don’t have the film stuff engaged anymore - does anyone know how to reverse so we can use the quad bus like a 4K and have the small faders able to hit the back bus.

Any information would be great - or any NY based techs that can help!

I know SSL "injected" audio onto the S3E (the quad summing buss) You can just disconnect
the DB25 type connector under the center section for starters. You should be able to assign
the small fader to the rear buss without modification if I recall by engaging the output button
and the lower case "c" and "d". Perhaps someone can correct me if I an not remembering
that correctly.

I'm pretty close in West Babylon and have an 8K. Where did you get yours from? Do you have the docs?
