Hi guys,

First of all let me apologize since we are long due for project updates. Unfortunately the project ran into a halt due to personal problems which froze the project progress. We are now back on the horse and tested out Beta 2 at Marc Mozart's studio. Let me take this opportunity to thank Marc and Nick Hepfer for their invaluable help.

This was a crucial test since we changed the main architecture from beta 1 card. We had to concept proof the beta 2 architecture before we could go on to beta 2 for the Ultimation card also using the same architecture.

The test was a success and almost everything worked as designed. We did find some noise on the computer sends which wasn't there on beta 1. We've figured out this happened because we reduced the card's input impedance down to 20k due to the new architecture, while the beta 1 had 100k exactly has the original SSL input cards. We suspect this might be increasing the output opamps noise level and generating the noise we experienced.

We have figured out a quick solution that we'll be testing soon and are now moving forward to implement the Ultimation beta 2 card.

Regarding the software you see in the video, that's only a testing tool and has nothing to do with final client software design.

Just and FYI. I just got back from NAMM today and I saw the Dramastic Computer in action.  They are doing a 100% rewrite of the original SSL software. They said it should be ready to go in about 4-5 months.  I asked pricing for my 53 channel desk and they said it would be about 10K.
