Please help save these SSL's from the scrap yard. SERIOUSLY
« on: April 22, 2021, 05:05:23 AM »
Hi everyone,

Been a while since I posted here because I sold my SSL a few years ago, but SSLMIXED was a great resource for me so I wanted to connect with you first.

UPDATES IN ALL CAPS

Please share this with whoever needs parts or expansion to their 4k 6k 8k console.

I have two consoles, over 100 channels in total available for parts or smaller rebuilds. 6064 and also and 4048 48 with left hand patch

Consoles have a mix of E and G channels, Black Brown and Orange! EQ's
AVAILABLE NOW IS SPECIFICALLY:
62 G CHANNELS
22 E CHANNELS
8 STEREO CHANNELS

I think there are 12 Stereo channels, which I always wanted, but they were never available and super expensive from the desk doctor when he had some.
SEE ABOVE

All Plasma bargraphs, except for the masters.

I have 100 faders, 120 Plasmas 100+ channels Plus other cards

2 center sections

Metalwork

Dl looms

frames available if picked up soon

I'm going to be listing the parts for someone, and I'd like for you all to be able to find the parts you need, or want, CHEAP to maintain or upgrade your consoles.

No computers or power supplies.

Consoles came from a church, which I used to help troubleshoot years ago when they had issues. New staff couldn't figure it out so they just put it in storage a few years ago and lost the computers and most power supplies as far as I can tell. They talked about scrapping them!

I don't have room to store the frames so if anyone wants them, I need to know ASAP or they might scrap them.

I disassembled the consoles today and all the channels and parts are going to be photographed and organized soon.

There is no way to power the units up, so they can't be tested, but they are clean and in good condition generally. Because of this sold as-is.

I will disclose anything I can see on the units to you.

Photos coming soon and can reply personally with numbers and photos to whoever is interested.

Can't list prices here, because they will be much lower than anywhere else. I'd be willing to ship anywhere within reason.

Once organized, i'll list them on the usual sites. Please take advantage, the prices will be low for users here.

I so needed this when I had my console. I would have added a bucket of the stereo channels at minimum. Probably build a 24ch for the B room.

Let me know what you need. first come first served

I can be reached anytime at thebank@mac.com or 312.216.7971

This could be timely, given my current plans.

Have dropped you an email.

Just my 2c worth...
ebay is terrible for both sellers and buyers of second hand goods. The seller fees are excessive (compared to reverb), and the exchange rates and paypal fees are over the top for buyers. Don't get me started on their global shipping program rip-off.
Most of the time I try to seek out the seller outside ebay, to save them and myself these fees.

Reverb would be a better option as a first step, aside from this forum.
