Hello Everyone,
After receiving some interest I've decided I'm going to build more Test Jigs for SSL 4000/6000 E/G/G+ Consoles.
It’s a replica of the the original SL613.
You can test:
611E or 611G Mono Channels
611S Stereo Channels
611 Dual Line input Channels
611V 6000 series Channels
It will come with:
Test Jig itself - rack mountable 3U
Channel to Jig extender
The Jig can be ordered as 115V or 230V, the psu is linear, no cheap switching stuff.
The Jig allows to power up the channel without the need of the console, Every input and every output can be tester very quickly and easily.
INPUTS- MIC - Microphone I/P
- LINE - Line I/P
- INSERT - Insert Return
- MIX AMP - I/P to the Group Output Module from the 32 Busses, Channel slot dependent
- SLATE - I/P Slate Signal Bus
- MON - I/P of the Monitoring section
OUTPUTS- INPUT - Listen to the input signal to calibrate the output level
- MIC - Listen to the what it is being sent to the mic input
- INS (L INS) - Insertion send (Left insert send for stereo modules)
- GRP OUT (R INS)- Group output (Right Insert send for stereo modules)
- METER OUT - Meter output
- LF, RF, LB, RB - Main Quad bus
- AL, AR, BL, BR, CL, CR - 3 Stereo Busses
- AUX 1 to 4 - Auxiliaries
- AUX LEFT and AUX RIGHT
- BUSSES 1 to 32 - Routing busses
LOGICSTATUS - Change the status of the channel
MODULE SELECT - Select what channel version you’re testing
FADER SELECT - The pot on the fronpanel simulates the large fader, It can be bypassed making it unity gain or 10dB attenuation.
Balanced XLR in - Balanced XLR Out
It is compatible with both VCA and ULTIMATION Consoles
All the rotary switches are Grayhill american made.
Wurth capacitors.
The way I build stuff is very simple and straightforward, it's completely analogue and it's easily serviceable.
I intentionally avoided aving and kind of microprocessor because I want to be 100% sure that you can turn it on in 15 years and I will work straight-away.
The PSU is on a different pcb for extra serviceability.
