No need to include past quotes in messages!
« on: February 03, 2014, 05:13:49 PM »
Hi people

EVERYONE: I don't think there is a real need to include a past quote in most of the new posts you do in reply to a subject as this increases the time you spend on here scrolling through posts and articles.

What I mean by a past quote is that you include the whole post you are replying to before answering / replying to it. My posts tend to be quite long so, if anyone replies WITH my quote as well, it takes up more scrolling space on the screen and uses up more of your time.

If we didn't do this, we would be able to find a solution to a problem quicker without scrolling through several pages.

Another point, can people please fill in their location and Country details please so that everyone knows where you are? This could especially be important for buying and selling stuff.

Hope this makes sense and regards from Jim Lassen in the UK

Yeah I agree you Jim, quoting full text is frustrating.
What I personally do is quoting only a specific point I'm answering / making a question. This helps specially if your answering an older post. Most frustrating thing I've seen is quoting pictures...
