Transformer Mic Pre Schematics mismatch?
« on: November 22, 2022, 10:44:36 AM »
Hi,
I designed myself a Hardware Discrete Preamp Plugin to fit on top of my 82E01 Chammel Amp Card.
As I was checking where to connect the Cables from my Board to the 82E01 Board (power, Gain, In/Out)
I found a mismatch between my Amp Boards and the Schematics from my E Service Manual.

I hope someone can explain what I found (or maybe I am totally wrong).
In the schematic there is T9, R69, R70, R71, C56, C57, but these components are not on the Card.
Also the Gain Pot (wich is a switch in my case) are not connected as in the Schematic.
Edge Con Pin 33 and 19 are swopped.
Pin 19 is directly connected to RC1 and R46.
R46 is connected to R11 and T1.
I also looked at the Amp Cards from later Revision Transformer Cards, T9 is missing on those boards too.
Couldn't find any Revision Info on those Parts...

I am also wondering what that little Sub Board is, replacing T3 (Line Trim).

Thanks for your help!

From the picture of the board, I think the sticker says it is a Rev1 board. The schematic looks like it is a Rev16 version.
See if this is similar to yours....

Ah, that schematic makes more sense, thanks!
The Board is actually a Rev 9, but the Sub board is Rev 1
But it says something like ...1079, so I guess ist from the late 70's

Does anyone have that schematic in a better resolution, ie. a better scan?

Thanks,
T

I've seen those input boards with the little sub PCB before. I didn't trace out what was going on, but if I remember rightly the line trim was also a mic input trim?

The little Sub-Board is a replacement for T3 on that card. Preamp is Rev 7
