Left Main Out Not working
« on: March 11, 2023, 10:35:46 PM »
Hello,
I just got my 4K put back together from our move from Denver. Before putting all of the channels back in, I patched a stereo source into Stereo One, selected Stereo One and selected External To monitors and all is good. I get stereo playback and control from the Monitor Matrix. So I put all of the channels in and decided to check each channel with pink noise. I turned up the master fader and brought up the level on each channel and I'm only getting signal to the Right output and Meter on all channels. When I patch the CR monitors to the Pre Vca and Post VCA sends I get signal in Left and Right.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

From what you say, it would likely be in the Main Outputs (82E25) card. The CR monitors are taken after this point, and it appears your post VCA from the 82E26 cards is fine.

Anthony,
After looking at the schematic in the service manual I think that may be it as well.

Thanks,
Mike

Problem solved. I got an Atomic last year and this is the first time that I had it connected and realized that the +18.5V side was down 2vdc.

Thanks,

It almost always comes down to rule no. 1 "thou shalt check voltages"!
