The Orange EQ “pultec”
« on: March 20, 2023, 01:42:51 AM »
Is there any interested SSL owners for the Orange eq?

Along with my preamps I’ve decided to jump head first in to a few other pieces of gear.
The preamps are doing quite well and man do we get good feed back for them!
This and some other equipment forays we’ve gotten in to has brought me to the pultec style ssl eq.
A rarity and a beaut as well.

Excited to announce in 4 weeks they will be available again. New but exactly as expected.
Direct drop in and mojo sound.
We’re gonna do a round of pre orders soon if anyone is interested.

I’m wanting to do the maselec but I don’t have one. Or a schematic. That’s for another search one day.

Anyway. Let me know if they’re of interest to any of y’all great people!

They’re not on the site yet but will be soon.

From my side... I reverse engineered the 132 EQs quite a while back and they've not been a big moving unit.

Nearly all interest is exclusively the 242 EQs.

Interesting.
I’m loading 2 consoles with 8 of them quite shortly.
I’ve had the different experience on our side.
Lots of asks on the website. 242 are just so common.
Either way. It’s not my main focus. It’s a new item for us.
Currently our replacement larc for the lexicon is a big item that’s been kicking off.

I didn’t know you had made these. Neat! Got a website?

I don't have a website, but here is a link to a list of everything so far.
There are a few more, particularly 681 cards for the 6K and some G ones (group and logic), so I should add those soon.

I bought 8 of Anthony's 242's and they work perfectly and sound great! I'm just waiting for him to master the E10 card (hint, hint)!

Aw thanks Mike!

Working through the E10 slowly. It's a bit more difficult as some modifications are needed for the THAT2181 VCAs (DBX 2151 are obsolete), and I'm also trying to find a suitable replacement for the AD536 which is also obsolete and hideously expensive for "new old stock".
