moving to a LED/LCD replacement is a good choice as they emit less noise, no HV flyback transformer.

see the other thread on scalers for info on that. <http://forum.sslmixed.com/index.php?topic=318.0;topicseen>

Thanks for the reply.

Well it started off as an intermittent ticking but the picture was ok, now it has failed completely. On investigation I have found a shorted transistor in the HV output stage which could mean the output transformer has also failed. Microvitec (manufacturer) want me to send the monitor in for inspection but I'll lean on them for spare parts before doing that ;)

The best that SSL could offer was a video scaler (RGBS to DVI) for UKP2500!

I/We are in the UK.

Cheers

I have purchase this http://www.extron.com/product/product.aspx?id=dvs304
Will try next week when i come to the studio, and let you know

I tried Extron DVS 304 input from the output of J9000 computer RGBS but no luck. The VGA conversion result moved up and down or blinked every second.  It seemed Extron could not scale correctly even at auto input.    Anyone has a successful solution ?

swarapadi:
I managed to use this RGBS to VGA converter, and had a great result on J9000 computer.  Purchase thru ebay for about $170

This unit can also be connected to a VGA to HDMI converter, so it can be displayed on a big screen LCD.
Unit is plug and play, size can be adjusted on the fly, very easy.
