Video Black Burst generator -DIY-
« on: November 05, 2012, 12:06:25 AM »
I am in need of one to quickly boot up a console and test it, I will get a proper one in a couple of weeks, but without it the system would not work.
this is an SSL Aysis console.

does anybody have any trick on how to build/bodge/trick some piece of gear to behave like a video ref generator?

Mattia.

I am going to reply to my own post:
one way is to use an old VHS player with component out and use the green connector for BB.
it wont work on DVD player (even if they have component out) because manufacturer would probably have blocked the sync (BB) to prevent illegal copies.

Seriously Mattia, your answering your own questions now. Hahaha

pretty sad eh? I should get a girlfriend shouldn't I?  ;D ;D ;D
asked a couple of people around and did few tests, plus connecting an oscilloscope into an output socket can tell you a LOT of things!  ;)
