Maybe try replacing it with a ZTX553 which has a 1A current rating.
Different pinout, but I'm sure it can be fitted.

We have 2 SSL 4K G Series large format consoles, that about every 5 - 10 months The VCA to Monitors button just stays on and does nothing on both SSL's when pushed. What is happening is that TR7 (BC212L) transistor on the 21 card is shorting. Anybody have any idea why?. I just replace them until next time, when it happens again. Maybe transistor is not heavy enough for the logic load on these big consoles? Are small SSL 4K console has never had this problem. Thks for your info.

It never goes any higher than 1 segment on any meter.
As the audio signal gets hotter the 1 segment just gets brighter and brighter but never lights any more segments.

If you're only getting one segment it suggests the ramp generator isn't doing it's thing.
To start with I'd switch of the HT (for safety) and start looking at the signals on the Ramp gen card with an oscilloscope.
It's been a few years since I had to diagnose and repair a plasma system, but the Tech info in the service manual is quite good in terms of what you should be seeing and where as far as I remember.

Any luck? I've only gone the other way, gutting the Ultimation from 2 of my desks and converted them to VCA. The channels don't care, as long as the fader system has correct cards and fader bus boards. Can't answer you on the computer side, since I put Tangerines in all of my rooms.

Now that I have a working system I've started testing the bad cards. It looks like my spare E75 HT cards are good but the bad E73's were the culprit all along.

Is there anything I should look for? I'm going to start referencing the good card and try to repair some of the 4 bad E73 cards.

*I can see that the working E73 card had all of the 212 transistors replaced.

Hi, I want to mount an articulated monitor arm on my console's bridge that lowers below the mounting point so I can use it without having to be at the side of the console when needed. I know this will affect the sound, but it will only be in that position while editing; normally it will be mounted on the VU meter bridge.

The trim doesn't do anything on are SSL Ultramation console either. It only works on are SSL VCA consoles.

We have RGB & sync(VGA) out of the SSL computer to a scan convertor & then to a little inlne VGA to HDMI convertor to the TV. We have both SSL computers, in color for recall and green for the primary computer.
