Hi guys,
Just to let you know we had a small pause for holidays and we're back to work on the new system.
Here are some photos of the new DIY VCA I/O beta card. We'll post more photos soon with it fully assembled. We'll be also testing it during the following weeks, so cross fingers! ;)
Cheers,
Artur

This card design is much much powerful than the previous one. We are very thrilled! Here is some of the highlights:
- We are now using one 1x AD + 8 x DA + Opamps per channel (instead of using the Sample&Hold approach)
- We now have an independent microcontroler per card
- We now have power rails for 5v Analog, 5v Digital and 12v which are isolated and self-regulated directly on each card
- Motherboard now has power up/power down control over the card
- VCA Cuts are now detected by digital threshold and are set by a fast digital switch (instead of detector+transistor circuit) - VCA ONLY
- Card can now be totally tested and driven without the need of motherboard (for testing purposes) - completely independent from the motherboard
- Card can now have a serial interface which will allow for comprehensive testing/debugging interface
Cheers,
Artur

I believe very very soon we might have wonderful things to show! ;)

Hi guys,
We've been working hard to get to this stage. Just wanted to show you guys one I/O (8 channels in/8 out) card 99% assembled (just some minor components weren't there at the time of the photo)! ;)
So far everything is looking promising and working as designed.
We will be changing a few things on the next batch to correct some casual errors (you can see some wires there, result of swapped pin mistakes), but we might have a console connected really soon, with this beta 1 card! ;)
Cheers,
Artur
