Title: PSU loose +/- 18V -SOLVED-

Hi, sorry if this has been already discussed.
I got a problem with my psu:
for few days, it sometimes loose the +/-18V (18V leds shut down for no reason on the console and on the PSU).
When I resart, it works ok for few hours, but day after day, it happend more frequently.
Did anybody already faced that problem and can give me advice to tell to my technician ?

Seen exactly this before, and it was a loose wire in the PSU

I have heard from another tech that the solderings of power transistors and surrounding components in old 661e on the 18v rails went bad over time. You could try to simply remove old solder and resolder the components. Always remember plenty of flux! :)

Things getting better, after it happened more and more ofenly until I cannot work anymore, I opened the PSU and found a pod with electrical dirt on it, I clean and rescrew the nut, and since then, the problem did not show up anymore.
