Title: Channels to Meters mod for E Series
Post by: Tonemiester on February 28, 2019, 04:49:22 PM: I have heard that there was a mod that could switch meter source from monitor to channels on E series. Does anybody have any knowledge about this and if so, is it complicated? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

It's just a few passives and an op-amp on a PCB, plus a ribbon cable that snakes all over the channel. Some fun-hating studio did a lot of work to disable the system on my console, but I'll see what I can find about the switching.

Try a different browser, but I always recommend using an external link.
I am going to set up a Drop box for people to use.

it should be working now!
the limit is 2.5MB per picture for a maximum of 10MB per post.
so it's a maximum of 4x 2.5MB pictures on each post.

My pics wouldnt send because of the size limit.. but when i reduced them on my phone to a lower res and cropped them.. htey wouldnt send because theyre now .jpeg? which isnt an extension that is valid.. ?

Post by: radardoug2 on March 19, 2019, 02:31:34 AM: Just rename your files to the extension .jpg instead of .jpeg. The site will accept that. .jpg is the more common extension, conforming with old DOS 3 character extension rules.

I've got this mod on a few channels, and unfortunately for me it's really annoying as it's not consistent across the whole of the console, and there seems to be a few different versions of the mod. Channel 8 does it, 1-7 don't, 14 does, kinda funky since it's a Frankenstein of an E.

I'll see if I can take some pics of the different boards.

I see this has been discussed and some information provided. Given images don't stay up long I'm be greatly appreciative if someone could send me any information on this mod/feature.
