Title: Problem with writing the session on a floppy disk

Hi

I’m having a trouble with my SSL computer. I insert a new floppy disk and I type LABEL (EX) and YES two times. I’m getting „no error” and „all sectors tested” messages. Next I want to name the floppy disk so I type NAME REEL (name) EX and I’m getting „impossible drive number” message.


When I want to save a mix on a floppy disk I’m getting this message:
„Your mix is safe in memory. Do not reload the program. Select a reel or create space.” Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? I think I’m following the manual carefully. I’m using 5,25” floppy disk.

You checked connections?

New setup or did you move the console?

Is the disk in write protect? In the reel slot not program?

3.5 or 8?

Hi There!


NAME REEL is only for bernoulli drives.. in a floppy system  you do not need the NAME REEL command.
have you tried to type LOAD [execute]  when  you have the labeled reel disk on the reel drive?

what happens when you. type DI [execute] with the reel floppy loaded?
