Title: how to clean switches/pots

Hey ya'll!
Very excited to finally be owning an SSL after years of working on other peoples. I'm wondering aside from sonic clean/recap, what are some maintenance things you guys think people over look/ should be done right away when first getting the desk. I've also heard lots of mixed things about deoxit on switches/pots whats everyones process for cleaning those pesky noisy switches?

Hey there,

My strong suggestion is to replace all isostat / dialstat switches with Alps, which will last for ages. Schadow switches are not too bad if you have those already.
No amount of cleaning will get those isostat switches back to new.

I've replaced around 2000 switches this year, and it has been well worth it.

the Alps switches work
