Hey All,
need 300 routing switch caps for my 6000E console. Tried the ones from Recycled Audio but they don‘t fit without modification (think they’re for a G series). Does anyone have an idea, tip or hack how or where to get some.

Hi Matt,
To my knowledge, there are at least three versions of the routing switches.
One that has cards that were soldered in to the channel PCB with right angle headers. These had switches that had a same footprint as the ALPS SPUJ series, but were positioned closer to the face plate, as they had flat top caps on them.
The next were the dialstat/isostats, which had a different switch foot print, and a more soft / flexible cap. They were removable with the EDAC style pins. I thought the newer caps could fit these.
The last (and latest) was the cards with ALPS SPUJ switches, and the rounded caps which Recycled sell.
For mine, I completely rebuilt the cards with new PCBs and installed ALPS switches to all, but need to replace a lot of the caps with the new ones from Recycled. This seemed to be the easiest way to make them all standard.
Top - lastest ALPS version, Middle - rebuilt card, Bottom - dialstat card

Wow! Thanks for the details :) My plan was to also swap em out, but I gotta do some recording too and they’re only a bit dusty, not too bad with no drop-outs.
I have found a method to get the Recycled Audio caps on, by shoving a 3mm Hex Key in them and 5 seconds under a hot air pistol. They look a little podgy but it works 😂
The OD of my switches is 3.3mm. They look a lot like the last in your photo.
Did you get the boards from Jeff, thought I saw a post on that somewhere. Thanks again for your help!

@Horizon I have a desk full of the cards with ALPS SPUJ switches, and the rounded caps. Where would I find the switches to restore these cards? Lov you rowkr on rebuilding all the cards from these desks too, amazing work!
