Title: Pro Tools Transport Control from 4k G+

Hey all!

Is the computer needed to make this work?  We don't have one for our console yet as it wasn't included in the sale...just wondering if there's a way to make the master remote work without it?

I don't think so. We have a virtual tape machine card in are computer that send time code to Pro Tools to control it.

The card is from Desk Doctor in LA. I'm not sure if they are still available still. You do need the SSL computer to use it.

You could email alan smart to see if the 2tools will work without computer.

They have one listed on reverb.

Clip6 mentioned about contacting Al Smart regarding ProTools transport from a 4K without computer.

Alan Smart is actually back in the UK now for a bit and I spoke to him about this today.

He said send him an email to see if he can help although I think he has discontinued this particular product but could advise you.
