I am having some issues with the monitoring on my 1988 4k. I suddenly lost all monitoring, both Mini and Main. SLS and Cues are still working, as is the talkback. Consequently, I’m having to use the SLS as my monitor level for the time being. I suspect this might be an internal issue with the E22 card. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this? Could it be a 5534 IC that needs replacing? I would be very grateful if anyone could suggest a solution to the problem.
Cheers from Norway

Sounds like a logic problem has muted the main speakers. I had something similar once when the main monitors cut button bulb blew.
Didn't matter if the button was on or off, still no sound.
Is Listen Mic pressed?
Could be shorted IC/capacitor has taken out the 10 Ohm "fuse" resistors on the card.

Good Call, Kevin. I think I've have this issues, but I don't remember, as I have dealt with seven 4, 6, 9J & 9K SSL consoles. Only have 4 now, 4 & 9K consoles. As your SSL is that old, I would also check for bad or leaking caps. Do your Stereo Returns work? If they do, U might want 2 check the "26" cards (limiter). U could swap the front & back "26" cards. I have had bad caps on these cards. Some of there power comes from their "27" control card.

Make sure no switch on the 651 is actually "ON" and just has a dead bulb, particularly up top in the oscillator section.
I recall someone having the "Groups" engaged but the bulb was dead, and it killed the monitor outs. "Omni", "Listen Mic to Tape" will do the same.
But i suspect a logic issue, possibly on the 24 card which controls the monitor cuts.
