Title: Insert Follows EQ links?

Hi,
Usually my console Inserts can be activated without activation the EQ, either in MIX or in REC Mode.
On one Channel (looks like a newer Channel, the only Channel with green Soldermask) the Insert can only be activated when the EQ is activated.

The G-Series Operators Manual states on Page 2-11 that there are links on the IO Module Mothercard (I guess its the 611).
So my Console is set to CHANNEL, but this particular Channel is set to FOLLOW EQ.

This is a G-Series Manual, so I don't know if this option existed for E-Series Consoles?
What is the default state of a E-Series Insert Switch?

Also, on all Channels all of the PRE (EQ) Buttons (above the INS Button) are labeled "EQ".
When the "EQ" (pre) Button is pressed, the Insert is only active when the Equalizer is activated.

Is this normal or a special mod?
