Title: PLAY FROM CUE (ProTools) **SOLVED**

I can't seem to get ProTools to PLAY from CUE.... with The Konnektor.

Something I'm missing?

So it's not locating at all, with any GOTO or PLAY FROM commands?  :( I'm assuming the SSL Comp is getting SMPTE and Tach ok.

Nup, not locating at all...

The SSL is chasing code no problem but when asking it to locate it doesn't seem to be working..

Normally it uses tach pulses to locate, as SMPTE can only be read one direction. I'm trying to remember how the SSL indicates the lack of this.. maybe the EBU/smpte flashes slightly? it's been a long time :-)

Just heard from Werner from The Konnektor... the screen is displaying a * which means the SSL isn't getting tach.

Will check connections tomorrow.

Flashing SMPTE, EBU, DF TC or FILM: Flashing smpte, ebu, df tc or film: System is incorrectly set for this type of timecode System must be reset to this type of timecode in the Setup menu

SMPTE?, EBU?, DF TC? or FILM?: Incorrect speed/Tach rate. Wrong master machine in Setup menu

SMPTE*, EBU*, DF TC* or FILM* :   No tach

Still no luck I'm afraid.

Next thing to try will be the DB25 between the Konnektor and the M/Track input on the console..

OK, it seems because we took the Tape Machine card out of the computer this is the reason for the problem.

We took it out because the battery was a mess, I will reinstall it tomorrow, apparently the battery is not needed.

This is fixed.

I reinstalled the Tape Machine interface card (without battery) and it's all working great.

So I pulled my tape interface card /clock as the battery was bad.

Do I need that? If it works without then it must be for clock only and that's always wrong.

Any comments on battery? looks like NiCad 1.5v AA

Clip6, it's better to remove the battery, and set date and time to not be displayed.. as you point out, at this stage in the game it's impossible to set the correct Date/Time

Hey Sintech.

Yea card back in. The computer was locking up so I pulled the cards polished the edge cards and reseated. All good now.
