Title: 2N5886 Shorted in PSU Anything else? 2N5886 replacement? **SOLVED**

Hi Guys,

I have a 6000 with the -20 rail down. Fuses have been installed in the PSU and one of the 2N5886 transistors shorted taking out a the -20 fuse...

Anything else that should be replaced before trying? replace the transistors in pairs or anything like that?

Any good replacements for the 2N5886? Should I replace all of them with the new part number?

excellent advice in that thread, Keith's analysis of the operation is spot on.

and  yes, check the diode bridges
