Thanks

Hi,
Check this out: http://forum.sslmixed.com/index.php?topic=760.0
I don't know if this is what you're looking for when you referred to channel extender, but If you're interested drop me an email to adassumpcao@gmail.com

Hey Artur,
Thanks for replying. Im looking for a 611E channel extender, not the Ultimation one. That looks great though!
THe other thing I am looking for is the PSU to power the faders. I dont have the CPU and want to get the system you are developing, but assuming I need the PSU to make it work!
Thanks again

Yes, you'll need both PSUs, the motors PSU and the fader electronics PSU.

Btw, is your console ready for Ultimation?
Do you have all the other stuff, besides the PSUs?

Thanks for the link! I tried to buy but they wont ship to the US. I sent them an email.
Artur, I have the fader electronics PSU. What else would I need (asides from the SL569) to run ultimation?
Thanks for the info!

Hi,
I don't know exactly what you're trying to do, but If you're retrofitting Ultimation into a VCA console there's lots of things you need to be able to do it. This can also differ if this is an E or G console. I have scanned a retrofit manual that I can share with you if needed.
But in terms of hardware you basically need:
- VCA card per channel (these are different than the non-utlimation VCA card)
- Ultimation faders
- Fader bus card for each bucket (different than the VCA faders)
- New Input/Output computer cards
- New CA bus card (replaces the Light and Switches card)
- Ultimation fader motor PSU (and cabling)
- Electronics fader motor PSU
Finally you'll need the Ultimation software to run the computer. This is also depending on the version of computer and floppy drive you have. ;)
If it's indeed a retrofit you'll also need to update the connector panel under the patchbay to be able to input the motors power.
I think Andy knows someone that's selling a complete Ultimation system if you need.
Cheers,
Artur
