Title: New G-Compressor VU compared to the 4/6/8k?

Howdy fellas,

How do the new Duality / Racked G-Compressor VUs compare to the original 4/6/8k meters?

Also, have they retained the same socket / and display size?

Could I replace the GR Meter in a 4k with the one?

Yeah, as production of the nice PPM 14 meter (with a GR scale) ended the new lightweight meter is featured on all SSL current compressor products.

It works ok, and have bought this from the SSL website before, but felt very ripped at the price!!! as it's a very cheapo Sifam meter with a nice scale.

Okay, but I really have a hard time finding the original meter so I guess that'd be the best option? And in terms of sizes and voltages, it is replaceable? Is it also possible to use the one with the LED? Isn't there extra voltage needed since the original one had no light.

So you'd say the older meter had a far better quality?
