Title: E series console serial numbers.

Hi,

I recently removed the console's LHS leather trim panel and found 'E25 BBC IV' hand written in red marker on the rear of this panel.

Just wondering if there is any connection between this information and the actual manufacturing sequence of the console (early 4040 E series).

PS: BTW the transfer from the original 4K PSU(endlessly problematic) to a modified 5K PSU, has for me been an outrageous success. The 5K unit has been in fairly constant service since Jan2014 and (touch wood) has given sterling service.
