Power Sequencer

Anyone using a Power sequencer to fire up there SSL?

I have been wanting to try something like this.

I turn off my studio everyday,
so starting up the whole SSL with one button looks tempting.

But I have the Atomic and it has a special power on(think Hammond B3)
so waiting on a answer from Atomic if it can be powered with a power sequence like furman.

I have a specialty power supply made by a pretty awesome gear designer/ tech.
Console powers on with one click, ramps up as needed.
Also has protection in it as the original Ssl supply had, which the atomic does not.
As well as digital meters to show what draw is happening / if issues etc. 

it’s a nice piece.  Looks sleek and works flawlessly!

Atomic apparently has a time Bomb in it, if one rail goes down.

If anyone’s looking to get in to an atomic, I’d consider his psu.

I got an Atomic but just got an answer from there tech
that it's not possible to start it with just switching on power into the powercable.

"tech said no you can’t because it would by pass the voltage protection."

I would love to hear about the custom power supply you have and or the manufacturer.

I thought that Atomic had serious protection, as I remember watching a video on youtube where they threw a screwdriver inside the unit and it
shut off immediately without damaging anything.

I appreciate it if you could share your thoughts regarding the lack of protection on the atomic and what protection your custom unit has.

I am in the market for a psu and want to make sure that I get the best unit for my console.

Let me chat with the man who made it. I’ll see if he’s producing any more of them.

The basics of the issue with atomic are that there’s no function that acts like the original supply, if one rail goes down, the other isn’t forced off as well. Which leaves the chance of blowing all your ic’s.
Not a good time.
