Been up with a client trying to get the SSL G series they taken on going.
Being an Ultimation desk there have been a few quirks I'm still getting my head around, but generally it's pretty good.
Anyway... Yesterday we hooked up the video to the Seiki monitor that's mounted to the wall.
Despite being a relatively new monitor it actually has a scart socket.
We have a RGB sync to Scart and plugged that all up (Green and Sync on a T section), and it works... hurrah!... but it only displays in black and white.
Now... we have another RGB sync adaptor that has a power supply (7.5V) running into the SCART. If we use this and switch on the power, we get colour, but the picture gets squashed into the top half of the screen, and there's a load of scanning junk or whatever in the bottom half of the screen.
I have vague recollections of the black and white issue from when we redid ST2 at townhouse, and we got around it using an S-Vid convertor... which we have, but the Sieke doesn't have S-Vid input.
I think we have 2 options for what we're suppling the monitor. SCART or HDMI. What would be the easiest and cheapest solution to get it working in colour?
