I knows this thread is dead but I just wanted to post/share notes as I've been upgrading from E to G cards on one of my mixing desks.

All that's needed for modding is to remove the E "Line" trim pot and replace it with a triple (10k/10k/100k) and use some 24/3 shielded wire and Molex KK254 connectors. Essentially, the G card needs the pot wired directly to the card rather than via the 611's circuit board to card edge connector. The 100K pot wires still need to go to the "flip" switch just the same (I'm guessing these are for TR).

I've been doing extensive comparisons of the 01, 149, 291, and AlanSmart channel amp card. They all have different character and I plan to vary this console by bucket (currently favoring the 01 cards on drums).
