Total Recall cured!
« on: December 18, 2012, 02:08:17 AM »
Hi folks. After months of trouble shooting we have finally fixed the total recall in my console.

Some crude information, the recall card that is under the G Keyboard had quite a bit wrong. There were 4 failed 10ohm resistors, 1 blown fairchild transistor 1 failed opto isolator. Here is a pic of the console undergoing surgery.

Next week I will upload the circuit diagram with markings of what was fixed.

The board is the one sitting on top of the white padded envelope.

I still have 16 channels that are playing up, it is my opinion that the multiplexers in these channels need replacing, I will report once I've done this.

Stef.

Replacing 10 Ohm resistors

Well done sorting your TR problem out Stef as we all knew you have been trying to fix it for a while. Ruddy 10R resistors huh! Remember to space the replacement resistors off from the PCB with the ceramic standoffs in case they blow again and scorch the PCB with burn marks. Can't help any more apart from that. Regards from Jim Lassen in the UK (must go back to my night time sun bathing session even though it is -17 degrees ... only joking ... it's only -11 ........ alright, it's actually +5 at 3 am). Later dude.
