Setting up SSL 4000G plus to record

I'm a newbie to all this, and could use some help. Say I want to record vocals into Logic Pro, using just one mic, how do i set up the desk step by step to do so?

I think it would be too complex and hard explaining in a few posts.

Id also suggest reading up on the 4000 flow etc and then come back and ask a little more specified questions
