I've got a strange problem with the Total recall on this SSL desk I just installed from the UK. This console is a 4064 G+ built in 1998, first sold to a studio in Japan, then went to a studio in London, and I am the 3rd owner. This desk was tested in the UK before i pulled it down and shipped it out, and the TR did work just fine.
The desk has 60 mono input modules and 4 stereo modules in channels 61 to 64.
It seems that I can store a setup on the disk, and the computer scans all the modules and stores the setup to the mini floppy disk fine. Then when I try to play a setup (recall the console) the computer sits there for about a minute and does nothing, then comes back with the response that the Total Recall computer is not running. I have done some tests in the test menu and I can see all of the TR data coming from the modules fine, all modules scan fine, but I can't seem to get data back from the TR computer. The mix computer seems to work fine, it saves and plays back mixes fine. But I am not able to recall module setup info on the screen.
Can anyone suggest where to look to trouble shoot this problem with the Total recall Computer? I pulled the TR computer card and the connected video card and reseated all of the connectors on them, as well as reseated both cards into the computer chassis. That made no difference at all.
I am also getting a minor issue with the system clock flashing dates and time changes. the clock date and time keep flashing and changing. anyone seen that issue?
