Ultimation intermitting problems

I have some Ultimation faders that's not working correct.
They are full volume all the time if they not are fully down.

If I boost a signal into the channel it's often settles to normal behaviour
so some sort of bad contact inside the fader

Anyone else had similar problem and can point me into the right direction
before diving into the manual?

I just rebuilt 80 of these things.

Aside from the fader tracks being dirty, the first places to look are the regulators, diodes and resistors on the 353 card (or whatever card it is - not looking at it just now). Next, look at the two FETs - TR6 and TR7. 90% of the time it's one of these components or a dirty fader. If it's not, set aside some serious troubleshooting time...

TR6 and 7 are long outdated. You'll have to substitute. Most of us sub in a 2N7000. Chime in if you've found something else that works.
