Small fader black screws
« on: November 11, 2013, 11:20:21 PM »
Hi ,

can anyone tell me where I can find the small black screws that hold the small fader to the panel of the channel?
Is there a preferred source for that kind of screws ?

Thanks

Nick

This is the correct tool, should be easy to find at RS.

Note, for the small fader these 6BA screws need too be longer than 3/16th’s

Ok.. just checked, and these work fine on a G series module. How many do you need? The 3/16th size is a bit of a fiddle on the E series, last time I tried.

Thanks sintech,
but i see that small fader scews are about 2,5 mm.
I thinks this is equivalent of 1/4".
Am i correct ?
So i was assuming that small faders screw for E/G serie is 6BA 1/4" , 6mm long

Thanks! Not urgent - I will order some. Just want to have them in the spares corner so that I can replace them with new ones as I go through cleaning my small faders!

One thing to remember before attempting a removal on an old console- the screws are slightly fused to the paint so you want to give them a "whack" to break the bond. I use a small nail head or a piece of 1/8" rod. A few light taps are all you need and the screws turn easily.
