We shot this last night for new interns to watch to learn how to do multi buss calibration.

James you're the best contributor for SSL video learning out there! Thanks so much for your gift to the community. Always learning from you! ;) Keep up climbing that ladder, I am proud of you my friend! :D

Said that, I have a few questions regarding your procedure:

- could you elaborate on the dbFS values you're trying to hit individually on PAZ Meters for 2-bus, A, B and C?

- From what I depicted from your video, you're setting the 2-bus to hit -10dBFS on PAZ Meters, but when you're calibrating A,B and C you're reaching other values (for instance on B you dialed around -9.5dbFS). Is there a criterea?

- When you're mixing and A,B,C are summed, what are the peaks readings you're getting in Protools?

- During the entire process how is your main fader set up?

- Finally, you're calibrating outputs from your outboard compressors to get the levels you want on the way out, but how do you set/reach to the level of compression you want to get on the way in to each bus?

Thanks mate! ;)

PS: we really need to make a DIY multi-input trim box! Using that neve just for trimming hurts my eyes and heart! ;D

Cheers,

Artur
