SOLD: Bought 2 new GRS PSUs. Selling our 2 old SSL 661 PSUs....

Hello all.

I've been a member here for about 3 months. No posts til now but I have been keeping up with things, reading all the posts.

Just recently we received our two new GRS power supply systems for our SSL 4000 to replace our older, but still working SSL 661 PSUs. So I'm trowing a bone out there to see if anyone is interested in one or both of these 661 PSUs.

Both units are in very good condition. They have been maintained by GRS for the last 4 years and they have both been upgraded, recapped, new rectifiers and all new power transitors. We just won't need these anymore since we replaced them with the GRS PSUs.

Will be entertaining purchase inquiries & best offers.  Both systems are ready to ship now. We are located in Northern California, but we can ship anywhere in the Continental USA.

Yep, I had the same problem too. They told me they have a new web site coming online soon. Seems that a UK company purchased the company.

You had to buy 2 GRS units? The Atomic Instrument supplies replace up to 4 661's
and the change-over unit to make a much more robust and efficient system.
with the recent talk of the GRS units burning up and taking out logic circuits
in the desk, I would recommend keeping your SSL 661's Incase of GRS failure.

Yep...

Replaced the 661's on the SSL in studio A with one of the GRS PSUs and then hooked the other SSL we just got for our new studio C to the other GRS PSU.

No problems with the logic or anything else. No changeover units. All's well.
